Sycamore Tree We already know Clutchy is a mystery, but Eugene is even more of a mystery, and the sound really reflects that kind of vibe. Favorite track: Ginna.

Yokrimi Feel ashamed that I have been in touch with this Lp when released...just typical Clutchy Hopkins sounds and compo, dope beats, smokey atmosphere...call it whatever you want; down tempo, psyhc funk, abscact, trip hop...this is just dope
But Who is Eugene Harrington? Favorite track: Miles @ Peach.

From WAX POETICS: "An instrumental album full of relaxed jazz, downtempo beats, and psychedelic electronica, The Life of Eugene Harrington is the result of growing up around a keyboard repair shop. Like an audio shapeshifter, he moves from playing a European trip-hop artist, to a restrained Chick Corea, to someone like Sun Ra, curious about the possibilities of music. Listenability, though, is paramount here; the album is experimental only in that it often gives your ears what they don’t expect."

about

Eugene Harrington comes from Hawthorne California where his father owned a keyboard repair shop. At a young age, Eugene would deliver parts and do repairs for studios in the area. He loved watching the musicians & engineers work. He became very familiar with electric keyboards and started experimenting with sounds and recording techniqes. He moved in to the back of his father's shop and recorded the album the Life of Eugene Harrington in collaboration with Clutchy Hopkins. It is a collection of recordings influenced by psychedelic breaks and grooves.

Clutchy Hopkins Nipton

Mysterious vintage funk beats. Dirty drums, fuzzed bass, and Middle-eastern flutes, warmed with tape hiss. Who is Clutchy Hopkins?
